Event Description Title Date - mm/dd/yyyy Description We are going to be working on the United Statesover the next six weeks. To make this more interesting and fun, we want to be able to share with others and learn from them too. Students 3rd grade and up should make a poster of their favorite state to display. At a minimum poster should include: -Name of state prominently displayed -Map of the state with the capital boldly marked, any major geographical features - Region the state is located in -States population -The year it was admitted to the Union - Pictures of the state seal, tree, flower, flag, motto (any unusual state symbols are welcome) - 4 or more interesting state facts - Anything else you want to include is welcome. Everyone brings a poster. Creativity is encouraged; displays of items from your state are optional. Children can sit by their display to answer questions or 'tour' the other states. If a small group signs up, we will do a 'go around' and everyone can tell us about what they learned. On Tuesday, March 16, Holy Myrrhbarers Orthodox Church has graciously offered to host us in their basement from 1-3 pm.
